Tbilisi, O My Tbilisi

In 2016 Sergo Tbileli began a cycle from his hometown, Tbilisi. He named it Tbiliso Oh My Tbiliso; here it is catalogued as Tbilisi, O My Tbilisi.

The first works were miniatures. Drawing on ceramics and Georgian partition enamel, he developed a multilayered cold enamel so colours sit over one another and show through. He later made larger versions and worked the same subject on other supports.

Each panel is a unique work. He has made more than seventy designs; the works below are a representative selection. Further variations are available by inquiry. Typical size in this cycle is 10–25 cm.
