Giorgi Vepkhvadze, born in Tbilisi, Georgia in 1979, is a versatile artist currently based in Brooklyn, New York. He received his formal education in the arts at the esteemed Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, where he focused on Graphics and earned his degree in 2002. Vepkhvadze’s artistic interests are broad and encompass painting, graphic art, and applied/decorative art.

His creative approach involves utilizing various techniques to create distinct textures, and his figurative compositions often employ monochrome linear abstractions to evoke a dramatic mood reminiscent of Biblical stories. Vepkhvadze’s unique artistic voice has established him as a highly individual artist whose work is recognized for its exceptional quality.

Vepkhvadze’s work has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions worldwide, including the Baia Gallery in Tbilisi, Georgia (2015), the Georgian Literature Museum in Tbilisi, Georgia (2002), the Contemporary Art Gallery in Jaffa, Israel (2015), and the Georgian-French Culture Week in Paris, France (2013). His artwork has also been displayed at the National Gallery in Tbilisi, Georgia (2013) and the Opera Art Gallery in Santorini, Greece (2010-2015).
